Humber NHS Foundation Trust holds members meeting and AGM at the KC stadium.
Healthwatch East Riding attended the Humber FT Annual General meeting. There was an opportunity to browse the many market stalls showcasing the Trusts work. Healthwatch took the opportunity to engage with as many different strands of the service as we could.
Many of the stalls related to mental health interventions such as the Recovery College and the new Crisis Pad.
Volunteering and governing opportunities were also promoted.
As the member meeting got underway, Martin Green, delivery manager for the City of Culture 2017 gave a very interesting presentation on Hulls year as the City of Culture. Mr Green alluded to the many health benefits such as reducing social isolation and giving opportunities to those with disabilities.
Michelle Moran, the Chief Executive of the trust, outlined the successes of the last year, and the progress made.
The chair of governors also gave a presentation on the role of governors in the trust.
The main vote of thanks was to the staff of the trust for delivering the service in a caring and professional manner.
